A look back…

1971

On 2 May, Albert Meisel senior and his son Roland Meisel founded meiko Textil GmbH in Konradsreuth, Franconia. One of the first products was the S 350 duster, which is still manufactured in our factory today.

1980

meiko expanded and opened a new factory for the production of thermo-bonded non-woven wipes. Still today we manufacture our high-quality non-woven cloths here in Konradsreuth.

Non-woven cloths from meiko have made a name for themselves all over the world. They bear the “Made in Germany” seal and are certified according to Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®. We currently supply them to almost 50 countries around the world, including the USA and the United Arab Emirates.

1992

After reunification, meiko took over the coarse yarn weaving mill in Kirschau. There our woven waffle and dish cloths as many other products are produced even today.

At the same time, the plant in Konradsreuth was expanded to include a coating and printing facility. It is used, for example, to “refine” the meiko wet wipe with an antibacterial coating and to provide it with pictograms. Individual printing of surface wipes is also possible there.

1995

In cooperation with Karl Mayer Malimo Maschinenbau GmbH, meiko developed a revolutionary pole loop machine. That invention of the new mop tip technology made it possible to produce mops in a superior quality with higher durability. The so-called “running mesh effect”, which led to premature wear of the mop covers, was eliminated. Properties such as water absorption capacity could also be varied by simply controlling the pole density.

meiko mastermop and meiko topmop were the first two mop models in the world to be manufactured in this way.

2002

Dieter Perick took over the company and its management at the request of Albert Meisel jun. and his family, the owner at that time. As a result, meiko Textil GmbH became part of Perick Management GmbH.

Thanks to the synergies gained in this way, profitable new solutions have been developed and implemented to date, especially in the area of research and development, such as the Micro BRUSH Pad.
For convincing cleaning results on hard floors, stone floors, safety floors and PVC: the Micro BRUSH Pad is the effective, cost-effective solution for daily floor cleaning.

Innovative cleaning solutions – today and in the future

2021

Especially in these times, we are there for our customers from the facility management, industry, local government, healthcare and hospitality sectors with a well-coordinated product portfolio and competent advice. The product portfolio not only ensures first-class cleanliness, but also makes work easier. We continue to manufacture the majority of our products in Germany.

Our surface and floor cloths made of 100% viscose and viscose/polypropylene are certified according to Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®. This means they meet the strict requirements for textiles that come into contact with skin.

In addition, the entire meiko product portfolio has been awarded the IGR seal of quality and is thus also optimally adapted to movement sequences during cleaning
